Hi there, I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Mia and here’s a little about me:
I was born and raised in Boca Raton, Florida. I’ve always had a love for adventure and creative expression, which naturally led me to pursue photography. Through photography, I’ve been lucky to travel, meet incredible people, and document meaningful moments along the way.
In August 2023, my husband and I moved to Europe, and since then we’ve fallen in love with traveling and exploring new places. We’ve been going back and forth between the U.S. and Europe (and beyond), and I’ve loved capturing our adventures through my camera.
Through photography, I’ve been lucky to travel, meet incredible people, and document meaningful moments along the way. We’ve been traveling back and forth between the U.S. and Europe (and beyond), and I’ve loved capturing our adventures through my camera.
My approach to photography is simple: I want people to feel comfortable, present, and truly themselves. Some of the best moments happen in between the posed ones, and those are often my favorites to capture.
Outside of photography, I enjoy hiking, running, yoga, lindy hop dancing, sketching, and painting :)

My Journey of Becoming a Photographer…
The day I fell in love with photography was in 6th grade when I stumbled upon my mom's old camera. I dusted it off and spent the entire day capturing photos outdoors. The image below is one of the photographs I took that day. It perfectly captured the joy and freedom I felt, and that moment solidified my desire to become a photographer. From then on, I eagerly photographed everything around me, including portraits of my family members. Through these portraits, I discovered my love of capturing human connection and emotion. I took photography classes in middle and high school. After graduating, I officially launched Mia Z. Photography and started internships and apprenticeships with many different professional photographers. Later, I worked as a photographer and production assistant at a photography studio in Atlanta, Georgia, for several years. I became captivated by the stories that a simple picture can tell. Photography has transformed my perspective, allowing me to appreciate the daily beauty that surrounds us in its simplicity.
One of the very first pictures I took that made me fall in love with photography :)
